SEK Admits New Member of the Firm

The Members of SEK, CPAs & Advisors are pleased to announce that Erin E. Clark, CPA, MBA has been admitted as a Member of the Firm effective January 1, 2024.

Erin leads audit, accounting, and advisory engagements across a variety of industries, including nonprofit organizations, healthcare entities, local governments, and financial institutions. She is responsible for planning and managing client engagements and maintaining strong client relationships. Her responsibilities also include mentoring department staff and working closely with clients to help them understand their financials.

Erin has been recognized and celebrated for her contributions to the local community. In December 2022, she was selected as the Rising Star Award winner as part of Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc.’s People’s Choice Awards for her commitment to the Washington County community through volunteerism and support of local charitable endeavors. In June 2023, Erin was presented with the Jesse L. Kagle Award for Distinguished Service by the United Way of Washington County for her community spirit and supporting the organization’s mission to go above and beyond the commitment and service to Washington County. She was also a 2022 Young Professional of the Year finalist for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Awards.

Erin joined SEK’s Hagerstown office in 2009 after graduating summa cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration/Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland.

Erin is an instructor for the firm’s in-house training programs on various auditing and accounting topics and is a presenter for the firm’s annual client nonprofit and governmental seminars. She has also been a presenter for the MACPA Government and Nonprofit Conference. She is also a member of the firm’s Nonprofit Task Force, Healthcare Task Force, and Financial Institutions Group.

Outside of the office, Erin serves as Co-Treasurer of Valley Little League, Treasurer for Smithsburg Elementary School PTA, Business Education Partnership Committee Member for Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Program Committee Member for Leadership Washington County, and a Mentor for GLOW. She is also a graduate of the 2022 class of Leadership Washington County. Erin enjoys spending time with family, playing and coaching volleyball, watching the Baltimore Orioles, and volunteering.
