With over three decades of experience at SEK, John possesses a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities his clients encounter, specializing in closely held family businesses and medical practices. His strengths lie in strategic planning and future-oriented business and legacy planning for clients.

John served as SEK’s Managing Member from 2010–2024. Under his leadership, SEK expanded from 140 team members to over 200, grew its revenue from $15 million to $24 million, and increased the number of offices from four to six. He transitioned into a consulting role in January 2025 and will continue to serve clients until his full retirement.

Prior to his role as Managing Member, John served as Member-in-Charge of the Hanover office for 18 years. His foresight and expertise were instrumental in the office’s growth and continued client satisfaction. John previously served as chair for the firm's Management and Technology Committees and served as a member of Tax Committee. He has played a pivotal role in additional key committees throughout his career, including Compensation and Practice Development Committee.
